WHY IT STANDS OUT

A lake landscape and important bird habitat

Lake Bogoria is recognized as a Ramsar wetland and an Important Bird Area. Lesser Flamingos are associated with the lake, but their numbers and distribution among Rift Valley lakes change with environmental conditions; sightings are never guaranteed. Greater Kudu are also associated with the reserve.
